Perfection in Paradise - ideal place to repair and restore

I can say without any hesitation that my stay at Ban Mekkala was the best holiday I've had. A large group of 11 of us stayed here over Christmas and New Year and the house quite exceeded all of my expectations. Beautifully situated in a quiet and peaceful part of the island, the house was tranquil and luxurious in equal measures. Separate sleeping quarters gave us the privacy we needed but big communal spaces meant we could comfortably relax together. The house has fantastic facilities, including one of the most beautiful swimming pools I've ever seen, and the moment you step off the property you find yourself on an exquisite beach, which is calm and unspoilt. What made this holiday so spectacular was the staff. Every meal was cooked for us by Tum, who aside from being exceedingly charming, was a master in the kitchen. I'm still dreaming of his Papaya salad! Coco, Sai, Kai and Eak were a joy to be around, always smiling and making this gorgeous house seem even more idyllic. But it was Fai, the villa manager, who elevated our stay to pure perfection. She was always ready to answer any questions we had and made sure we had everything we needed at any given time. Thank you to all those wonderful people who made this a holiday to daydream over during the long English winters!

the best, most relaxing and luxurious holiday of our lives

11 of us spent 2 weeks over Xmas and new year in this wonderful villa by the sea in the quiet south of Koh Samui. Beautifully designed with care and no little artistry, this is a simply fabulous place to unwind, rest, heal and restore. Lots of spaces to gather communally or read on your own, the inviting sea before you, the infinity pool is quite fabulous and, at around 20m in length, is able to accommodate lap swimming. What raises this villa from the merely fabulous to the simply sublime are the charming, helpful and thoughtful staff who discreetly tend to your every need: the fabulous cooking of Tum the chef; the lovely cleaners Sai and Kai; the helpful driver Eak; the cheerful and ever smiling Coco who tends the garden; but rising above even all of these wonderful people is the delightful Fai, the villa manager, who made our holiday the success it was by her patient answering of all our many questions and requests we bombarded her with on a daily basis. Thank you Fai. Thank you Ban Mekkala for the lingering memories.

Crystal Villa is one of the best Koh Samui has to offer

We had an amazing time at Crystal Villa. We had a group of 10 girls and everyone enjoyed our stay at the villa. The view is amazing (with glimps of sunset) as we are on the hill top. The pool feels like an infinity pool with great view. Most importantly, the staff are all very friendly and excellent cooks. We went out for a couple of meals and still felt the food at the villa are better than the food at the restaurant, so we ended up eating at the villa most of the time. Great way to spend your vacation!

Excellent Cusine, Facilties and Staff

My extended family of 9 stayed in this wonderful Villa for one week in June 2014. This turned out to be the proverbial "vacation of a lifetime". The Villa and staff exceeded our high expectations. The Villa manager, Fi, and her staff responded to all of our needs and desires. We had virtually all of our meals at the Villa, and I must say, the Thai and western food was absolutely superb. We decided not to rent a car, and instead used the Villa driver and van for excursions on the island. This was a really good move, and I'm glad that I did not have to drive in sometimes hectic road conditions. Fi accompanied us on all trips, including several to a tailor, where we all had custom fitted suits and dresses made. The outdoor cinema, which uses a projector and a large roll down screen, is terrific as we enjoyed movies most evenings via our iPhones and iPads using Apple TV. Before arriving at the Villa, we stayed several days in Bangkok. We never saw a military person or a demonstration, and always felt secure. Bangkok hotels and restaurants were almost empty, and we were treated like royalty. In my opinion, this is a wonderful time to visit Thailand.

Spectacular

This villa is a very rare find....amazing beachfront which is perfect for long walks and a lush and spacious property perfect for a holiday get-away. We stayed with three other couples and all of our children....relaxing and many activities at your fingertips. The living area both near the kitchen and beside the pool is very comfortable with friendly staff who are excellent cooks. We look forward to returning!! Many thanks again

A Truly amazing vacation home that gives you a total relaxed vacation

We were greeted by super friendly and professional staff at the door, walked over a little beautiful coil fish pond into the main house on the upper level, and our eyes and cameras just could not stop appreciating all the details, the art pieces, the design of the space, the furniture...everything. All the rooms are so thoughtfully designed that every room has a view of the ocean and the pool. In-room amenities, decorations, atmosphere are so comfy and stylish that I can stay in the room all day. But why would I when I can open our glass sliding door and take a few steps to plunge into the warm infinite pool and watch the ocean and hear the waves! Or we could take the kayaks out for a beautiful sunset watch on the ocean. Or we could just hang out at any corner of this house, not going anywhere and enjoy a true vacation experience. When we did go out, we felt that the food prepared in the house by our staff was much better than the restaurants. This vacation home truly offers a fun, relax, comfortable, and worry-free vacation. We highly recommend this house for any group who is visiting Koh Samui. It was a magical experience for us.

Heaven on Earth

It doesn't get much better in life than to experience staying at this beautiful paradise, Ban Mekkala. My family (wife and 2 children under 10) joined a group of dear friends to stay in this villa of 6 exquisite rooms for a week, and we celebrated our dear friends' 20th wedding anniversary. The staff were fabulous, the food was world-class, the swimming pool was fantastic, and the beach was isolated and great for morning/afternoon strolls. The open design and the common areas allowed both a fabulous opportunity to connect with others while still maintaining privacy when we were in our room. It was the best vacation our family has ever experienced in the world (and I've been traveling for over 30 years), and it should be on everyone's "bucket list" as a place to experience!

Anniversary trip with Friends and Family

This is a truly amazing trip for our group. It is so unexpectedly perfectly done. We arrived this Villa on 7/22 and greeting by the wonderful staffs with a cup and cold drink. We felt like home right at that moment. The staffs were truly amazing. They prepared all meals according to our request everyday. All the staffs were so professional and not overly bother our stay. We were able to hangout at the villa and somehow when we need them they appeared like Ninja. The most amazing impact is the layout of the Villa. it is so welcoming and homey. The large and open living room connect to dining area. The living room area is facing the ocean on the second floor, so we were able to hangout and enjoy the amazing view of the villa and the ocean. The living room walk downstairs that is the all the individual suites located. We can't help to take pictures to show off to our friends of this villa. Each suite has indoor and outdoor shower. As it's my anniversary, so we picked the master room, we were breath taking by the view of the master room. The master room has walls of glass door and windows so we are able to see the view in every angle. The U shape layout shallow pool allow me to sit in the water bench and work on my emails while everyone is hanging out in the pool. I will say this is one the the most family friendly pool design. Our most stay were hanging around this pool eating and chatting. I don't want to get too personal, but the garden and pool layout has host a perfect anniversary ceremony for us. We are truly feel the magical moment in the place. If I can continue go on and on.. I would just say, pls pay a visit to this Villa and you will experienced this Villa. I would come back over and over again if could. Hope you enjoy if you get a chance to visit.

With golden sands at your feet, Ban Mekkala villa is located on the southern coast of Koh Samui about 35 minutes from the Airport and 15 minutes from the town of Lamai. During the summer low tide season, the reef may dry up for another 100 meters, widening the beach and offering additional activities such as beach volleyball and football for the adults and rock exploration and sea shell collection for the kids. * Extra bed will be charged at USD 50++ per night (including breakfast)
* For weddings and private parties, surcharge may be applicable depending on number of guests (a maximum number of guests also applies)
* Babysitting is at THB 350++ per hour and THB 450++ per hour after 8 pm. Minimum of 4 hours in advance booking is required.
* In-villa shopping service is available at THB 300 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.
* Pre-arrival shopping service is available at THB 650 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.
* Provisioning is to be paid by cash on-site or by credit card with an additional surcharge up to 5%.
* Laundry

Cancellation Policy

If it becomes necessary to cancel all or any part of the booking, Villa Management must be notified in writing (email acceptable). The cancellation will take effect from the day the written confirmation is received.

The following cancellation charges will be applied depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing by Villa Management and the period of stay in the Villa by the Guests:

* 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 60 days or more before the arrival date.
* 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the arrival date.
* 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 30 days or less before the arrival date.
* A full or partial refund is subject to the discretion of Villa Management and solely applicable in the event that Villa Management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial cancelled reservation.

Christmas and New Year Periods:

For any cancellation after the deposit and/or balance payment, all payments are forfeited and a full or partial refund is solely applicable in the event that Villa Management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial and cancelled reservation.

An admin fee of USD 50 will apply in the event of refund and amendment to reservation. The above cancellation charges also apply if Villa Management cancels the booking due to non-payment of the balance. If the dates of the booking require to be changed or amended, this may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and cancellation charges may apply.
Any change to the original reservation is subject to the approval of Villa Management. An early departure penalty will be subject to negotiation with Villa Management local Representative's Manager.

***Relaxed Cancellation Policy***
We understand that flexibility is required given the impact Coronavirus has on travel. In the event where your trip is disrupted due to COVID-19-related flight cancellations or travel restrictions, the below terms and conditions apply:

In the event your trip is disrupted, we will supply you with the necessary paperwork to file a claim with your travel insurance. If you are not covered by travel insurance, please refer to the policies on our managed villas below.

* Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before the date of arrival are eligible for a credit note for up to twelve (12) months from your original arrival date OR a cash refund of eighty percent (80%).
* Cancellations made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date will be converted into a credit note for up to twelve (12) months from your original arrival date – no cash refund.
* For peak season bookings: If you cancel anytime due to a COVID-related event, you will be provided with twelve (12) months credit from the original arrival date – no cash refund.

We will refund your booking or provide a credit note based on the following conditions:
* Your country of residence issues a travel ban or a warning of ‘Do not travel’ (or the equivalent) to the destination booked.
* Your flight is cancelled and alternatives are not available.
* There is a government-enforced quarantine upon your return from one of our destinations.

Terms and Conditions:
* Proof will be required before confirming eligibility to this clause.
* Cash refund will be minus any fees that may be incurred for international remittance if requested.
* Credit Note allows you to rebook the same villa during the same rate period (season) within twelve (12) months of your original arrival date. You may confirm your travel dates at a later point in time, as long as the stay is completed within twelve (12) months of the original check-in date.
* The minimum length of stay shall also follow the period of the new dates;
* Policy for new bookings apply for selected managed villas;
* Extension of credit note validity may be requested subject to approval.

Payment Terms

Initial Deposit

* An initial deposit of twenty percent (20%) must be paid to confirm a booking, unless otherwise specified in the confirmation of availability.
* During Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year, fifty percent (50%) of the villa rental must be paid to confirm a booking.
* Before the booking is confirmed and a contract becomes enforceable, Villa Management reserves the right to increase or decrease the agreed prices. No contract will be agreed and accepted by Villa Management before the receipt of funds.
* If the funds have not been received by Villa Management within five (5) banking days from the booking date, Villa Management reserves the right to void the booking request and allocate the Villa to another Guest.
* Should the booking be cancelled, cancellation charges will become payable in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.

Balance Payment:

* The outstanding balance must be paid at least seventy-five (75) days before the date of arrival, unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation.
* Should the booking be made within seventy-five (75) days of the arrival date, the full payment is due upon confirmation and prior to arrival.

Kindly inform upon confirmation of your reservation, which form of payment would be preferred.
* Payments may be made by Telegraphic Transfer to our company bank account ( a nominal admin. fee applies) or through an online payment gateway with your card (Visa, Mastercard or AMEX). For the avoidance of doubt, all bank charges and administration fees to be borne by the client.
* If payment by card is preferred this will incur an admin fee.

Description

Comfortable and convenient living

Ban Mekkala has been designed for comfortable and convenient living in a tropical setting. Walk through the imposing entrance and you will be impressed by the truly contemporary home. The stunning location and spacious design combined with luxury, modern amenities and tasteful furnishings creates a peaceful haven for those seeking a relaxing retreat, or fun getaway. From the villa compound, you can see the stepped pond and the glistening ocean in the distance. The main entrance to the villa leads directly into the interior comprising living, dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen has a dining table while the living/entertainment area furnished with modern Thai decor and a state-of-the-art audio/visual system equipped with Apple TV and surround sound technology which is linked to every part of the house (inside and out).

The open-plan grand room situated on the second level of the main house offers a laid-back ambience and the stunning view from all angles through full length windows which run across the expanse of the building. Walk through a large covered balcony and move down to the ground level of Ban Mekkala which contains the six bedrooms consisting of three different styles (two bedrooms per design). All bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms with large walk-in showers and bath tubs and TV/DVD player with individual satellite TV unit. Bedrooms three and four, on either side of the central lawn, benefit from an additional outdoor shower in their own private courtyards. The ground floor of the main building houses bedrooms five & six.

Near the garden there are four more individual bedroom pavilions. Bedrooms one and two are the Master Bedrooms and the largest of all with the added their own personal surround sound stereos that can be isolated from the system in the main house. At this far end of the property, there is a swimming pool with incredible sunken sun benches. There's also an outdoor dining pavilion as well as a barbecue and kitchen for the ultimate outdoor dining experience. Beyond the pool is the peaceful Laem Sor beach. Ban Mekkala is the ultimate getaway for peace and privacy and complimented with all modern comforts. The villa offers several entertainment features that make it perfect for that family reunion, holiday with friends or wedding celebration.
